| The special concerts are truly magnificent: the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra, the Slovak Philharmonic Choir, the Symphony Orchestra of the Slovak Radio, the Bratislava Boys Choir and elite Slovak opera singers with programs intended for the periods around Christmas, New Year and Easter will be performed. The touching and festive atmosphere created by the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra and Bratislava Boys Choir in the Christmas Carol Concert is always a favourite choice for concert-goers. The New Years Concert by the Slovak Philharmonic has become an aim for visitors and tourists alike. As a result of its great popularity, the program of the New Years Concert will be performed for the first time also on New Years Eve ( at 16.00 h), which will definitely satisfy the requests of the wider public. The Easter Concert, conducted by the Chief Conductor, Vladimír Válek, will surely enhance the atmosphere of the fast in Antonín Dvořák`s monumental Requiem. At the end of April the Slovak Philharmonic Choir will commemorate the 60th anniversary of its foundation. |
