CEO of the Slovak Philharmonic announces auditions for the Slovak Chamber Orchestra violist
Base salary €1230.
The salary stated above represents the minimum guaranteed amount for the position; the actual salary will be adjusted based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience.
Auditions will be held at the Slovak Philharmonic Small Hall, Medená 3, 816 01 Bratislava.
on September 16th, 2026 (Wednesday) 2.30 PM
Required musical education: University degree in the relevant field

slow movement from suites for solo viola
or
J. S. Bach
slow movement from solo violin (viola) sonatas and partitas
- C. Stamitz
Viola Concerto in D major, 1st mov. including cadence
or
F. Hoffmeister
Viola Concerto in D major, 1st mov. including cadence
- Concerto (1st mov.) or Concertante piece from World viola repertoire.
- Selected orchestral excerpts will be sent to enrolled candidates.
The Slovak Philharmonic will provide candidates with an accompanist.
Candidates can also arrange their piano accompaniment at their own expense.
a prima vista playing is not required.
