You could hear and see him behind the organ in the Philharmonic during several symphony concerts. A protégé of Imrich Szabó and Ján Vladimír Michalko, the young organist Daniel Gabčo will make his public debut as a soloist. The Sinfonia from the creative workshop of his brother Ľuboš Gabčo and the Concerto in A by the Swiss composer and priest Theo Flury will be the focal pieces of the concert. In these works the organ will also be accompanied by the Slovak Chamber Orchestra. Olivier Messiaen, Jean Guillou, and Jehan Alain represent the dominant French organ music tradition of the 20th century. The St. Albans Triptych by Matthew Martin was commissioned by the organ festival in St. Albans and serves as a musical remembrance of the British organist Peter Hurford.
