J Junior Cycle

Cycle J, the so-called Junior Concerts, has been functioning for a few years with the intention of attracting mainly the younger generation. Here, young orchestral players and soloists show off their interpretational abilities under the leadership of experienced conductors. This season the program has been expanded to include not only the customary local musicians but also guest youth orchestras from Great Britain and the Netherlands. Two concerts consisting of standard symphonic repertoire will be heard. To conclude the cycle a special treat has been prepared for children on the even of International Childrens Day: a repeat of the original childrens opera Majstri speváci drakopevci by the composer Igor Dibák and librettist  Peter Štilicha.
