Estonian composer Arvo Pärt transformed the perception of time and tonality in music with his work. Adam’s Lament is based on Orthodox chants from the 15th century. It talks about the sin that Adam committed in the Garden of Eden. The contemporary concept of spiritual music will be countered by Joseph Haydn‘s Missa Sancti Nicolai. It is the sixth mass by the composer, whose life was closely linked to Bratislava in terms of concerts and work during the 18th century.
